Meet Monni Cross, a member of the Laga Loyalty Program since December 2020, who resides at Hohola in Port Moresby. Monni seized the opportunity to join the program late last year and has seen instant growth in his home business since the inception of selling Single and Double Scoop Gala Ice Cream within his community.

On a weekly basis Monni goes through Six 16 Liter boxes of Gala Ice Cream, which he says is due to constant sales to children when they finish school and when parents treat their families during the week. The Gala 3Pla Falvour Ice Cream is a hit for the people of Hohola, which is also balanced out by the demand for Vanilla and Chocolate flavours as well. 

Within a few months of joining the Laga Loyalty Program he has seen the need to do more with his ice cream business, and has differentiated himself from others by using toppings on all his ice creams. He has also introduced a Sundae Cup to his menu, which has seen a keen interest within his community.

Monni appreciates the affordability of Gala Ice Cream and the Laga Loyalty Program, as it enables and assists him and fellow Small to Medium Enterprise’s owners to grow their businesses.

Looking into the near future, Monni plans to expand into owning a shop specifically dedicated for ice cream.
